NDE performs all diving and underwater services within the civil works field. The work performed is primarily on bridges, piers, pipelines and cables.
Quays
New construction, repairs and inspections. Activities can include:
- Denudation of rock surface
- Cutting steel sheet piles
- Cutting steel, wood or concrete stakes
- Laying out erosion protectors of coarse stone or concrete mattresses
- Hydro demolition
Cables
Laying of power, telecommunications and signal cables. Troubleshooting, removal and repair of all cables. Laying /rinsing of cables before or after installation. Fixation of cables to rock surfaces and erection of cable protectors.
Bridges
New construction, repair and inspections. Activities can include:
- Cleaning steel sheet hollows
- Rock blasting
- Pre-drilling of holes in rock face
- Casing, reinforcement, concrete casting
- Drill core extraction
- Video inspection
Pipes
Laying of steel and plastic pipes and wood tubing. Location of leaks and repairs. Cleaning intake grilles and sieves.
