ISO 14001

The environmental management system is a tool utilised to carry out effective environmental work. It is based on a process which includes environmental policy, planning, implementation and monitoring as well as measures for continuous improvement. The environmental management system is based on the environmental impact the activities can cause. The identification of this impact provides a basis for the establishment of environmental objectives and an action plan to achieve goals that are consistent with a comprehensive environmental policy. A key component of the environmental management system is to identify and monitor the handling of the legal and other requirements to which the company subscribes. The environmental management system contributes to distinct accountability, which leads to increased awareness and clarifies the requirements relating to staff competence. In conjunction with this, documentation and performance management procedures are established, as well as contingency to deal with any emergency situations.
